Technical Details

what runs on :9202

WAP WSP uses compact binary protocol data units and provides session semantics above the WAP datagram stack. The secure connectionless variant uses WTLS for cryptographic protection and normally operates over WDP, commonly mapped to UDP; the IANA assignment also covers TCP. Unlike connection-oriented WSP, it does not maintain the same kind of long-lived WSP connection, although WTLS may perform a security handshake before protected data exchange. Related legacy assignments include 9200 for connectionless WSP, 9201 for WSP over WTP, and 9203 for secure WSP over WTP.

security overview

A reachable listener is most likely a legacy WAP gateway or device rather than a current application service. WTLS is intended to provide encryption and integrity, but obsolete implementations may have weak cipher, authentication, or parser behavior; expose the port only where legacy WAP operation requires it and restrict access to expected peers.
