About WhatPortIs
A database of network ports and protocols — what runs on a port, whether it's encrypted, and how exposed it leaves you. Every entry is open to correction; a wrong answer is a bug, not an opinion.

Where The Data Comes From
539 entries follow the IANA service name and port number registry. The remaining 523 cover software that claimed a port in practice without registering it — the ports you actually meet in a config file or a port scan.
Corrections are reviewed before they go live, and every entry keeps its edit history. If something here is wrong, say so and it gets fixed.

Found something wrong?
Missing ports, outdated services and bad risk scores are all worth reporting. Corrections take a minute and need no account.
