Technical Details

what runs on :7672

OpenMQ STOMP clients connect over TCP and exchange persistent, text-framed STOMP messages with the broker. A client starts with a CONNECT or STOMP frame; commands such as SEND and SUBSCRIBE publish to or consume from broker destinations, and frames use headers, a blank line, a body, and a NUL terminator. Port 7672 is the IANA assignment for iMQ STOMP; TLS may be configurable, but traffic is not encrypted by default.

security overview

An exposed broker can reveal message contents or allow publishing and consuming on destinations, depending on its authentication and access-control configuration. STOMP credentials and message data are cleartext unless TLS is configured, so restrict access to trusted clients and avoid exposing the endpoint directly to the internet.
