Technical Details

what runs on :7574

UDP/7574 is the default Coherence cluster discovery port. In multicast-based configurations, Coherence sends discovery traffic using a configured multicast address and port so nodes can find cluster members; configurations using well-known addresses can use unicast discovery instead. This is discovery traffic, not a general-purpose application protocol, and the port is configurable. Coherence cluster traffic is not encrypted by default.

security overview

Keep this port off the public internet and restrict it to the networks containing intended cluster members. Unwanted discovery or cluster traffic can expose cluster metadata and, depending on Coherence configuration and security controls, create risks to cluster membership and cached data. Use Coherence security features and network segmentation rather than relying on the port being obscure.
