Technical Details

what runs on :7563

The Control Framework runs over TCP and carries framed control messages between an application server and a media server. In MCCF deployments, SIP signaling establishes the control channel; media itself uses separate media transport. Port 7563 is the registered default, but an open TCP port alone does not identify a particular product or guarantee that the peer is using MCCF. Encryption is not implied by the port; TLS protection depends on deployment.

security overview

A reachable listener may expose media-session control functions, so it should normally be limited to the application and media servers that need to communicate. Use the deployment's authentication and TLS protections where available; there is no basis to treat this uncommon service as a public-facing endpoint.
