This is the default port for the Citrix vendor daemon in the FlexNet Publisher-based Citrix licensing system. A client typically contacts the license manager on TCP port 27000 first; the manager directs it to the vendor daemon on 7279 to request or check out a license. The IANA assignment lists both TCP and UDP, but normal Citrix vendor-daemon licensing traffic uses TCP; the ports can be configured.
