EtherNet/IP (Ethernet Industrial Protocol) carries the Common Industrial Protocol (CIP) over standard IP networks. TCP 44818 is used for encapsulation sessions and explicit request/response messaging; UDP 44818 supports discovery and other connectionless encapsulation traffic. Encapsulation uses a 24-byte header, and the protocol does not encrypt traffic by default. Cyclic I/O traffic commonly uses UDP 2222 rather than 44818. The IANA entry supplied is a historic alias, but this port is widely associated with EtherNet/IP in real industrial deployments.
