security overview

This is a remote-management interface and should not be exposed directly to the public internet. HTTP traffic is not encrypted by default, and exposing AMT can allow authenticated administrative actions or expose management information; restrict it to dedicated management networks, use the HTTPS service where supported, and keep AMT firmware current.
